Tonight I’ve moved my Moveable Type blog over to WordPress 2.x. Went pretty smoothly so far. I’m now faced with learning a slightly new setup, making a nice design for it and so on.
Why did I move from MT? WordPress seemed more like my style. It’s very standards-compliant for one thing, and it has a cleaner overall feel. There is no cgi to monkey with and the interface, well, that’s the key.
I’ve actually done very little reading about how WP works, but nevertheless it’s quite simple and easy. I think it’s easier than MT. However MT has it’s place and does what it does. TypePad users don’t have to worry about how it works anyway.
I’m looking forward to this change.
